About Us
The South Halmahera diving area was discovered by Rudy Ring in 2009 in cooperation with the local government. From 2009 to 2016, he explored the region with his liveaboard, discovering and naming many of the dive sites together with his guests.
Proco Island Bambu Resort opened in March 2023 and was built by Rudy together with several friends in the beautiful bay of Proco Island, Halmahera. Created with many years of diving experience, the resort offers a comfortable and peaceful base for exploring the surrounding reefs.
Today, Proco Island is one of the most untouched and uncrowded diving areas in Indonesia.

Our Dive Resort in Halmahera
We have a uniquely designed bamboo restaurant, 12 cottages, and a Sunset Bar on a beautiful hillside, all built entirely from bamboo. The island is surrounded by coral reefs, and we are currently the only dive resort here.
Besides diving, guests can enjoy the peaceful nature of the island and truly relax. Scuba diving in Halmahera, Indonesia, is an exciting emerging destination and is often considered the next Raja Ampat.
The Accommodation
The 12 bamboo huts are surrounded by coconut trees and exotic flowers, creating a cozy and colorful atmosphere. From the restaurant, you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise view every morning.
